Clalit - Tele Geriatric
Bridging the Digital Divide in Geriatric Healthcare

Challenge
Geriatric patients face significant barriers to accessing specialist care, especially in remote areas. Traditional telemedicine models failed to meet their unique needs due to:
- Limited digital literacy, making standard video consultations inaccessible.
- Lack of caregiver or medical staff support during remote consultations.
- Geriatricians struggling to make accurate diagnoses without clinical context.
Solution
As the Project Lead, I led, managed, and designed a process to develop a hybrid telemedicine service tailored for geriatric patients, ensuring seamless access to specialist care through both clinic-assisted and home-based consultations. This initiative was a collaborative effort between Beit Rivka Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Southern District Continuum of Care Unit, with the support of Context TLV, a UX and service design agency I selected and managed. I defined the project framework, set milestones, managed the budget, and established key success metrics, ensuring a structured and scalable approach. The service was successfully piloted with 70+ patients, delivering high satisfaction rates, improving medical accuracy, and ultimately becoming an integrated part of Clalit’s healthcare services with potential for national scale-up.
